SIDNEY — The Salvation Army Kids Corps free summer program is underway and accepting new participants.

The weekday program runs through Aug. 12, Monday through Friday, from 11 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. at the Salvation Army building, 419 Buckeye Ave.

The program is open to children entering grades 1 to 5. A free lunch is provided for all participants daily.

Attendees participate in nutritional programs, craft and library activities and indoor and outdoor games. Information regarding the local DARE Program will also be presented.
