SIDNEY – The annual “Kids Around the Square” festival is set for Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon on courthouse square downtown here. The event is being co-sponsored by Downtown Sidney and the Shelby County United Way.

Downtown Sidney Director Amy Breinich said the event will again be “a no cost fun-filled day of games, crafts and much more for the children of our community.”

Scheduled activities include craft making, a fishing pond, beanbag toss, jumpy, etc., said Breinich. Members of local non-profit organizations will be on hand. Last year, more than 30 such groups were represented at the festival.

The festival will be held in rain or shine.
