Police seek information on vandalism

SIDNEY — The Sidney Police Department along with Sidney-Shelby County Crime Stoppers is seeking assistance from the public.

On July 30, 2016, a report was received at the Sidney Police Department that someone had vandalized a bus belonging to the Council of Religious Education by spray painting the word “LEATHEL” along the right side of the bus. The Council of Religious Education bus was parked at Emerson Elementary School, 901 Campbell Road, when the vandalism incident occurred. The vandalism occurred between the dates of July 26 and July 30.

The Sidney Police Department along with Crime Stoppers is requesting help from the public in identifying the persons involved with this vandalism incident.

Anyone with information about the suspect or suspects involved is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 937-498-TIPS. A reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect. Callers will remain anonymous.

The funds used for Crime Stoppers’ rewards are raised through donations and Municipal Court fines. Tax dollars are not used to pay rewards.
