Loramie golfers top Fairlawn

MINSTER — Fort Loramie notched a big win in County boys golf action on Thuyrsday, beating visiting Fairlawn at Arrowhead, 174-186.

The verdict left both teams at 1-1 in County play this season.

Brad Gottemoeller of Loramie was the medalist with a 40, Eli Rosengarten added a 44 and Craig Eilerman and Zack Pleiman both shot 45.

For Fairlawn, Nathan Lessing had a 45 and Mason Jones, Jacob Caldwell and Kody Curtner all shot 47.

Anna 169, JC 181

SIDNEY — Anna took over sole possession of first place in County golf, standings 2-0 after a 169-181 win over Jackson Center at Shelby Oaks Thursday.

The Rockets got a 38 from Zach Watren and a 39 from Eli Kuck. Mason Platfoot shot a 43 and Evan Bensman 49.

For the Tigers, who are 1-1 in the league, Bryce Sosby tied with Watren for medalist honors with a 38, Trent Platfoot shot a 43 and Coltin Rose 48.

Minster 173, NB 201

MINSTER — Minster defeated backyard rival New Bremen in boys golf action at Arrowhead Thursday 173-201.

Jordan Brackman of Minster was medalist with a 38, Adam Knapke shot a 41, Ben Stubbs 46 and both Logan Lazier and Grant Koenig 48.

For New Bremen, Cole Hemmelgarn shot a 45 and Ezra Ferguson 49.

Piqua 175, Lehman 176

PIQUA — Lehman edged Piqua in high school boys golf action Wednesday 175-176.

Lehman’s Cole Gilardi and Ryan Schmidt and Piqua’s Aaron Davis and Spencer Lavey all shared medalist honors with 42.

Other Lehman scores were Tyler Lachey 45, Parker Riley 46, Seth Dooley 53 and Mike Rossman 60.

Girls

Versailles 205, FR 250

VERSAILLES — Versailles had no trouble with Fort Recovery in girls golf action at Stillwater Thursday, winning 205-250.

Lauren Durham of Versailles was medalist with a 45, Lauren Heitkamp had a 47, Jorja Pothast 55 and both Anna Groff and Morgan Heitkamp 58.

Lehman’s Cole Gilardi blasts out of the sand at Echo Hills in Piqua in a match against Piqua. The Cavaliers lost by a single stroke.
