United Way goal at $408,855

SIDNEY — The Shelby County United Way reports week 8 campaign totals at $408,855. The Shelby County United Way would like to thank all companies, individuals, and families that support the annual campaign. Support from companies and individuals is received from all communities in Shelby County. A total of 27 UW funded agencies and programs will receive funding from the proceeds of this campaign.

The success of the campaign will be highlighted on Thursday, Nov. 3, at 11:30 a.m., at the Sidney American Legion.

“We ask that if you have not considered supporting the Shelby County United Way, please do so at this time,” said Scott Barr, executive director.

The Shelby County United Way is a local 501 c 3 charitable organization earning a four star rating, the highest rating, from Charily Navigator. Funding decisions are made locally by both the board of directors and community leaders and volunteers during the annual allocation process. Shelby County United Way does not fund and has never funded Planned Parenthood.
