Sidney Board of Education

SIDNEY — The Sidney City Schools Board of Education will meet on Monday, Nov. 7, 2016, at 6 p.m. in the board of education office. There will be a presentation/report on Emerson Elementary by Principal Michael Moore, and a Upper Valley CC report from Bill Ankney and Paul Heins.

The board will do the first reading of new and revised policies and will vote to approve a retirement, as well as hire several staff members. There is also an executive session planned.

Sidney City Council

SIDNEY — The Sidney City Council will hold a workshop session meeting on Monday, Nov. 7, 2016, at 6:30 p.m. in the Municipal Building’s Council Chambers.

There will be a discussion on retail recruitment services and the 2017 budget.

Council will review the upcoming Zoning Board/Planning Commission Agenda for Monday, Nov. 21, 2016, and review the prospective City Council Agenda items for the next 30 days.

In addition, council will also hold an executive session to prepare for negotiations or bargaining sessions with public employees property, to consider the purchase of property for public purposes, a pending or imminent court action and the employment of a public official.

Jackson Center Planning Commission

JACKSON CENTER — The Jackson Center Planning Commission will be meeting on Monday, Nov. 7 at 6 p.m. in council chambers to review a zoning map amendment request.
