Police seeks woman’s identity

SIDNEY — The Sidney Police Department is requesting assistance from the public in identifying a woman believed to be involved with a theft incident.

On Sept. 21 2016, two black females entered LanePark of Sidney, a senior living community located at 1150 W. Russell Road in Sidney. The women made an inquiry about obtaining a job application. They were provided one by management but they left prior to completing it.

That same day a credit card of an employee at Lane Park was stolen out of a purse that was kept in an office closet and the card was used at several locations throughout Vandalia and Troy. Store video was collected from one of the businesses that the credit card was used at.

The person using the credit card was identified as one of the women who was at LanePark earlier in the day. The woman has yet to be identified and the police department is requesting help from the public in doing so. The suspect is a black woman who appears to be pregnant.

Anyone with information to the identity of the woman pictured in the store video is asked to call the Sidney Police Department at 937-498-2351 or Crime Stoppers at 937-498-TIPS.
