St. John named chief financial officer


DAYTON — Community Blood Center/Community Tissue Services has named John St. John as its new chief financial officer. He is a familiar face to CBC/CTS after spending nearly a year as a consultant and interim CFO.

CBC/CTS Chief Executive Officer Dr. David Smith said St. John brings experience to the senior leadership team that will be instrumental to the company’s strategies for consistent growth in the blood and tissue industry.

St. John has more than 25 years of experience in C-level positions for tissue banks and organ procurement organizations. He has extensive experience as a CFO and has been responsible for other business areas such as strategy development, HR, IT, and research and development. Earlier in his career he worked as a chemist and as director of Cardiac Services at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

His broad educational background includes a degree in chemistry and an MBA.
