Tecumseh came into the game against Sidney Thursday night with a 7-1 record and two players averaging over 22 points per game.

And the Lady Arrows lived up to their billing, whipping the Lady Jackets 56-35 in non-league girls basketball action at the high school.

The loss leaves Sidney at 6-4 on the season and snaps the Lady Jackets’ five-game winning streak. They will try to start another one Wednesday when West Carrollton comes to the Sidney gym.

The Lady Jackets led 10-7 after a quarter, but it was all Tecumseh after that. That gave the visitors a 44-25 lead after three quarters.

For Sidney, Celena Taborn was held well below her average with 14 points, and Alina Kindle added 11.

“We had a great first half being patient with their press, but their full court pressure coming back from half was just too much for us. We made bad decisions and did not take care of the ball,” said Sidney coach Megan Mummey.
