The system of free delivery of mail went into effect New Year’s Day. The carriers made but one delivery in the morning as it was a legal holiday. The carriers have the following number of patrons listed: L.E. Kelley, route. No.1, 950; Leroy Michael, No. 2, 820; W. H. Mumford, No. 3, 733. One cent postage will no longer carry a drop letter.
