Couple set June date

MOUNTAIN BROOK, Ala. — Margaret Louise Day, of Mountain Brook, Alabama, and Jonathan Robert Elsner, of Columbus, have announced their engagement and plans to marry, June 10, 2017, in the Cathedral Church of the Advent in Birmingham, Alabama.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Dr. Sharon Schnell Day and Dr. Howard Russell Day Sr., of Mountain Brook, Alabama. She graduated from Mountain Brook High School in 2008 and from the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee, summa cum laude, with a Bachelor of Arts in Latin and English in 2012. She is enrolled in the Ohio State University, studying for the Doctor of Philosphy in classics.

Her fiance is the son of Karin Lee and Daniel Lewis Elsner, of Covington. He is a 1999 graduate of Sidney High School, where he was co-valedictorian, a 2003 graduate of Miami University in Oxford, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in systems analysis, and a 2012 graduate of Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, where he earned at Master of Science in administration. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a missileer from 2012 to 2015, achieving the rank of captain. He is enrolled in the Ohio State University, studying for the Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration.
