Fire acquired structure training

Truesdale made cuts into the roof with a chainsaw then Davis moved forward with a pole to poke and rip out a hole where the roof was cut. Sidney firefighters practiced garage and masonry wall breaching, search and rescue, vertical ventilation, hose line advancement, pump operations and command procedures. A smoke machine inside the house replicated smoke from a fire. The windows were darkened to limit visibility. Fire fighters trained Tuesday, March 21 and will continue training Thursday, March 23. The house was purchased by a company that plans on demolishing it.
