SIDNEY — The Calvary United Baptist Church, 9480 N. county Road 25A, will present the LaFontaines in concert, Sunday, April 2, at 6:30 p.m.

The family, based in Toledo, recently celebrated 50 years in gospel music. They have performed across the country and in the Philippines and will present a concert in South Africa later this year.

Paul LaFontane writes music, is a vocalist and plays keyboards. Ike LaFontaine plays drums, piano, and bass and sings harmony. Henry VanWyk plays guitar and is a songwriter. Sharon VanWyk singls the alto part and plays the piano. Vanessa VanWyk plays the bass, writes music and sings. Sheri LaFontaine is a vocalist who traveled for four years with the Arnolds and was a staff writer for Daywind Music for more than eight years.

A freewill offering will be taken during the concert.
