SIDNEY — Friday, July 14, at 7 p.m. on the courtsquare in downtown Sidney, the Sidney Civic Band will take the audience on a trip to Hollywood by playing medleys and marches from familiar movies.

“This concert was fun, but challenging to put together,” said Conductor Phil Chilcote. “So many wonderful pieces in this genre — I had to pick the best of the best arrangements.”

Selections for the concert include “Space and Beyond,” “Highlights from ‘Fiddler on the Roof,’” “Where Eagles Dare,” “Titanic,” “Man of LaMancha,” “The Wizard of Oz Fantasy,” “The Dirty Dozen,” “Highlights from ‘Mary Poppins’” and “Oklahoma.”

Attendees should take lawn chairs. The concert will be in the Connection Point Church of God, 1510 Campbell Road, Sidney, if it rains.

The concert Hollywood & Vine Meets Marching Right In Time Concert is free, and one lucky attendee will win a Spot pie.
