The annual Bob Fridley Junior Golf Tournament was played Monday at Shelby Oaks, and 50 young golfers took part.
There were three divisions, including ages 10-11-12, 13 and 14, and 15-16-17.
Most of the golfers competed in the oldest age group, and when it was over, Nick Fischio took low gross honors by two strokes over Eli Kuck and Mason Platfoot.
Fischio shot a 40 on north nine at the Oaks, then came in with a 36 on the south for his score of 76, just 4-over par. Kuck, meanwhile, fired a 1-over 37 on the north but started the south nine with a double bogey. He wound up with a 41 for a final score of 78. Platfoot also shot a 37 on the north nine, then came in with a 41 for his 78.
13-14
In the 13-15 age group, there were nine golfers participating. They all played nine holes and low gross honors went to Carson Regula, who shot an impressive 38, which included an eagle on the par-4 fifth hole.
Finishing runner-up was Ryan Sailor with a 41.
10-11-12
There were also nine golfers playing nine holes in the 10-11-12 age group, and Aiden Wehrman shot an impressive 37 to win by eight strokes. His round included two birdies, and he managed the 1-over round despite a double bogey on his last hole.
Second was Max Cotner with a 45.
