The Shelby Oaks Ladies Golf League braved the hot weather to get the latest round of golf in on Wednesday, when the play of the day was “low gross on the par-4s.”

There were 22 players and play took place on the west course.

Three players tied for the top scores. Two were in first flight in Ellen Joslin and Deb Goffena. They were joined by Barb Rogers from the second flight, with all three finishing with scores of 26. Four others tied with 27, just one stroke back.

Third flight — 1. Marcia Shaffer 30, 2. Joyce Wick 32, 3. Roxy Shepherd 35, 4. Susie Toller 37.

Fourth flight — 1. Joyce Goubeaux 33, 2. (tie) Carol Young, Mary Lou Berning 39.
