Crashes

Marlies Lee, 74, 322 ½ E. South St., was cited with stop sign after a two-vehicle crash on Monday at 4:44 p.m.

Lee was stopped at the stop sign on West North Street at the intersection of North Highland Avenue and as she began traveling west into the intersection, she struck the right rear side of the northbound vehicle on North Highland Avenue that was passing.

The other vehicle was driven by Joyce Newbold, 65, 1116 Taft St.

• Rita Pitrelli, 85, 312 Charles Ave., was cited with starting and backing after a crash on Monday at 3:05 p.m.

Pitrelli was backing out of her driveway on Charles Avenue when she stuck the parked vehicle facing the south that is owned by Russell Brown, 311 Charles Ave.

• No one was cited following a two-vehicle crash on Monday at 11:06 a.m.

Roselena Holt, 38, Lexington, Kentucky, told police she was traveling westbound on Michigan Street in the right lane. She said she had the green light at the intersection at Folkerth Avenue and as she was proceeding through the intersection, she noticed the southbound vehicle on Folkerth Avenue was coming at her and was running the red light. Holt said she tried to swerve left but was struck by the other vehicle.

Larry Holloway, 67, 632 Folkerth Road, Lot 47, told police he was stopped at the red light on Folkerth Avenue in the left turn lane. He said he proceeded to turn left on the had the green turn arrow and that Holt ran the red light causing him to strike her.

According to the police report, no citation was issued due to conflicting stories.

• Dylan Vonderhuevel, 19, 834 Crescent Drive, was cited with starting and backing after a crash on Monday at 9:24 a.m

Vonderhuevel was backing out of the private drive of 113 S. Walnut Ave. when he struck the parked vehicle facing the north on the curb of Walnut Avenue owned by Mary Devreax, 910 Buckeye Ave.

• Anna Reinhart, 48, 16590 Fort Loramie Swanders Road, was cited with assured clear distance ahead following a crash on Sunday at 11:48 a.m.

Reinhart was traveling eastbound on Campbell Road at the intersection of South Vandemark Road when she rear-ended the vehicle in front of her driven by Benjamin Musser, 40, 13200 Fulton Road.

Fire, rescue

WEDNESDAY

-10:53 p.m.: fire. Firefighters responded to 809 W. North St. on the report of an open burn.

-10:29 p.m.: carbon monoxide. Firefighters conducted a carbon monoxide investigation.

-7:04 p.m.: crash. Crews responded to the report of an automobile crash.

-4:39 p.m.: fire. Firefighters responded to Holloway Sportswear on North Stolle Avenue on a false fire alarm.

-9:57 to 10:50 p.m.: medical. Crews responded to 12 calls.
