TROY — Habitat for Humanity of Miami and Shelby Counties will dedicate its first Shelby County build in Jackson Center, Aug. 8, during ceremonies to begin at 6 p.m.

The home at 107 Birch St. will belong to Kara Mullen, now of Sidney, and her family.

The organization will dedicate a house at 62 S. Cedar St., Troy, for Jackqueline Czaja and her family at 1:30 p.m., Aug. 6.

The Mullen and Czaja families, and numerous volunteers, have completed both builds, which began in the spring.

Mullen and her three children will be moving in time for the new school year.

Both families have met Habitat’s criteria for homeownership of need, sweaty equity and assumption of a 20-year, zero interest mortgage.
