SIDNEY — The Shelby County Animal Rescue Foundation (SCARF) has announced that nominations are open through Aug. 20 for its 2018 Top Dog calendar.

Area residents can nominate their pet dogs online at www.helpshelbycountyanimals.com with a $5 donation. From Aug. 28 through Sept. 10, SCARF supporters can vote for their favorites by donating $1 for each vote. The dog receiving the most votes, raising the most money, will have its picture on the front of the 2017 calendar as well as on a month inside. The next 11 top vote-getters will each be featured in the calendar.

The top dog will also be featured on the SCARF website and its promotional brochure for 2018.
