The Shelby Oaks Ladies League met again Wednesday at the Oaks on a beautiful day for golf, holding its Charity Benefit Day and 28 players competing in the game of the day, which was “Mixer/Partner/Blind Low Net”.

As part of the Charity Benefit Day, the ladies have a silent auction for donated articles as a fund raiser and also accept donations of money. The entire amount collected, which will continue through next week’s play, will be used for someone who has need of a little bit of help.

Winners in Mixer/Partner/Blind Low Net game was the team of Ann Engle and Denise Welker with a total of 64.44. Second was Joyce Goubeaux and Marcia Shaffer with a 66.88, third was Rita Brinkman and Katherine Kinsella with 67.12, Joyce Jones and Trish Hoying were fourth at 69.04, LuAnn Fultz and Sandy Winner fifth at 70.04 and tied for sixth were Jeanie Bosslet and Ann Hubler along with Shelley Lott and Judy Doll at 71.2
