Hepfers celebrate ruby year

SIDNEY — Christine and Bill Hepfer, of Sidney, will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary, Aug. 20, 2017.

Bill and the former Christine Henman were married Aug. 20, 1977, in the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Newport. The Rev. Edwin Francis performed the ceremony on a sunny, warm day. Witnesses were best man Joseph Fourier, groomsmen Steven Henman and Rick Allred, maid of honor Catherine (Henman) Toner, bridesmaids Beth Hepfer and Helen (Monnin) Wilcox and flower girl Sara (Henman) Fahrnow.

Bill is the son of the late JoAnn and Billy Hepfer Sr. He has two sisters, Tina Allred and Beth Hepfer, both of Troy.

Christine is the daughter of Marie and Richard Henman, of Newport. She has three living brothers, Steven Henman, of Toledo, Paul Henman, of Sidney, and Duane Henman, of Newport, and five sisters, Catherine Toner, Pat Travis, Peg Moreno and Sara Fahrnow, all of Sidney, and Sophie Burch, of Newport. Another brother, Greg Henman, is deceased.

The Hepfers have a son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Karen Hepfer, of Newport, and a daughter and son-in-law, Casey and Jess McGreevy, of Fort Loramie. They have four grandchildren.

Bill is retired. Christine is employed by Kroger.

The couple enjoy spending time with their grandchildren, family and friends.
