MINSTER — Joyce and Nicholas Hoying, of Minster, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary, Aug. 27, 2017, with an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Holy Redeemer Church parish hall in New Bremen.

Nicholas and the former Joyce “Gert” Egbert, were married Aug. 26, 1967, in the St. Patrick’s Church in St. Patrick. Witnesses were maid of honor Kay Wint, best man Larry Hoying, Walter Hoying, Edward Egbert, Greg Egbert, Margie Kitzmiller, Janet Born and Lisa Trimbach.

Nicholas is the son of the late Agnes and Lawrence Hoying.

Joyce is the daughter of the late Kathryn and Verlin Egbert.

The Hoyings are the parents of a son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Jenny Hoying, of New Bremen. They have two grandchildren.

Nicholas retired as a contractor. Joyce is employed by Formaster Maintenance at the Minster Bank.
