PIQUA — Clark Manson will perform the final Rock Piqua riverfront concert, Saturday, Aug. 19, in Lock Nine Riverfront Park, 125 E. Water St., Piqua.

Manson, a Covington native and rising country star, will take the stage around 9 p.m., and opening act, Piqua’s own, Reflektion, will begin at 7 p.m.

“We are looking forward to a record number of concert goers for Clark and his band, as they play a great range of music that gets our crowd of all ages up and dancing,” said Steering Committee Member Jeanie Bates. “In 2014, they rocked Lock Nine Park. They were not only fabulous musicians, they were also perfect gentleman. I am so looking forward to their return to the Rock Piqua 2017 stage.”

Manson is a rising star in Nashville. He’s played tours with Brett Eldredge, Chase Rice, Tyler Farr, Old Dominion and, most recently, Cole Swindell, and he performed at the Miami County Fair with Chris Lane just a few days ago.

Reflektion, formed by twins Jared and Justin Younce seven years ago, has been touring from Nashville to Lake Erie. The self-taught duo sing mostly country with a splash of southern rock in a dynamic and soulful tone.

“This should be one of the biggest Rock Piqua! concerts to date,” said Piqua Arts Council Executive Director Jordan Knepper. “Jared and Justin and Clark have all performed here before, and they know how to get the crowd involved. I think anyone that misses this concert is going to be disappointed they missed out.”

Food trucks from Susie’s Big Dipper and Pcassio’s will serve ice cream, burgers and pulled pork along with what Knepper called, “some of the best monster cookies I’ve ever eaten.”

No outside food or drinks will be allowed in Lock Nine Park during the concert.
