NK board raises lunch prices

NEW KNOXVILLE — Lunch prices will be higher in New Knoxville Local Schools this year.

The New Knoxville Board of Education approved the increase during its regular meeting, July 24. According to (0 Kim Waterman, the increases are due to federal requirements. The prices have beens set as follows: $2.05 for children in grades kindergarten through three; $2.15 for children in grades four through 12; $2.85 for adults. Milk will cost 30 cents.

In other business, the board:

• Hired mandi Shroyer as prom adviser.

• Approved 2017-2018 school fees.

• Approved Nickles Bakery as the bread supplier and Reinhard Dairy as the milk and juice supplier for the school year.

• Accepted a donation by the Athletic Boosters of $8,500.

• Approved classifed employee salaries.
