JACKSON CENTER — Several Jackson Center administrators received compensation during the Aug. 21 Board of Education meeting for the work they put into the new school.
Superintendent Bill Reichert received $5,000 for the time and effort he put into the project. The board also awarded $3,000 to Treasurer Tony Meyer, $2,000 to Maintenance Supervisor Ted Rostorfer, $500 to Assistant Treasurer Kim Metz and $500 to Office Coordinator Debbie Tussing. In total, $10,100 was awarded.
The board also approved several items, including:
• Bus routes and bus stops.
• The FCCLA budget and activity.
• Updates to the Deferred Compensation Plan Document managed by Voya Financial as the common remitter.
• Use of certified and classified substitutes approved by the Midwest Regional Educational Service Center.
Board members also voted to accept three donations. Airstream Corp. donated $65,000 for technology and building-related items, the Jackson Center Tiger Boosters donated $50,000 for the new track and soccer field complex, and an anonymous donor donated $10,000 for building-related needs.
The board noted that while a significant amount of work remains for the track and soccer field complex, a number of work activities for the complex have been approved and are in process.
