Anna Local School Board of Education

ANNA — The Anna Board of Education will meet in regular session at 6:30 p.m., Monday, Oct. 9, in the Middle School room 209.

They are expected to discuss the five-year forecast, review board reports and award employee contracts.

Sidney City Council

SIDNEY — The Sidney City Council will meet on Monday, Oct. 9, at 6:30 p.m in the Municipal Building’s Council Chambers.

There will be discussions on the ownership transfer of a D5 liquor permit to K Burdiss Investments, LLC, located at 111 S. Ohio Ave., fire and EMS township contracts and on the vacant property registration program.

Council will be introduced to two ordinances for the codification of ordinances in the City Code Book and to amend the traffic control map establishing handicap parking spaces at Holy Angels Catholic Church on South Main Avenue and Water Street.

It is expected for council to adopt a resolution opposing the passage of House Bill 267 which would eliminate municipalities’ limited immunity should their employees cause injury, death or property damage while operating a government vehicle. The bill would replace them with only one circumstance where the municipality is immune.

In addition, council will also hold an executive session to prepare for negotiations or bargaining sessions with public employees, to consider the purchase of property for public purposes and for pending or imminent court action.

Loramie Township trustees

RUSSIA — The Loramie Township trustees will meet in regular session at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 10, in the Russia Fire house.

The meeting is open to the public.

Anna Planning Commission

ANNA — The Village of Anna Planning Commission will meet at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 17, at the Anna Town Hall, 209 W. Main Street – in the utility office area.

The subject will be possible changes to the existing Codified Ordinances of Anna in regards to the regulation of private swimming pools.

The meeting is open to the public.

Botkins Local Schools Board of Education

BOTKINS — The Botkins Board of Education will meet Wednesday, Oct. 11, in the high school media center.

They will discuss payroll, expenses, receipts and general fund balances for the past five years and hear the district technology plan for the next four years.
