FORT LORAMIE — Fort Loramie High School students will “travel” to Hollywood for their 2017 homecoming dance, Saturday, Oct. 14.
The iconic movie town is the theme of this year’s celebrations, which will follow the homecoming football game, Friday, Oct. 13, against Tri-Village.
Thursday, there will a sophomore class-organized powder puff football game, Thursday Night Smackdown, at 7 p.m. In addition, the classes are battling for bragging rights this week by dressing up for spirit week and painting windows of local businesses.
The homecoming king and queen will be crowned at 7 p.m., Friday.
Candidates for queen are Sophia Albers, daughter of Brian Albers and Gayle Westerheide; Jada Gaier, daughter of Todd and Denise Gaier and Eric and Nikki Loudenbauk; and Brooke Raterman, daughter of Ron and Jo Raterman.
Candidates for king are Dylan Albers, son of Scott and Kelly Albers; Mike Hoying, son of Ryan and Audrey Hoying; and Collin Luthman, son of Ed and Brenda Luthman.
Junior attendants are Emily Austin, daughter of Jamie and Barb Austin, and Grant Imwalle, son of Joe and Connie Imwalle. Sophomore attendants are Taylor Ratermann, daughter of Matt and Jane Ratermann, and Griffin Meyer, son of John and Melissa Meyer. Freshman attendants are Kenzie Hoelscher, daughter of Alan and Angie Hoelscher, and Grant Albers, son of Scott and Kelly Albers.
Crown bearers will be
Rosalie Busse, daughter of Michael and Kimberly Busse, and Blaize Brandewie, son of Bethany Brandewie. Crowning the new king and queen will be 2016 royalty, Alec Holthaus, son of Mike and Gayle Holthaus, and Kaitlyn Luebke, daughter of Dale and Nancy Luebke.
