Girls basketball: Minster, Versailles remain No. 1 in AP state poll

Minster and Versailles remain No. 1 in this week’s Associated Press state poll.

The Wildcats won close games over New Bremen and Ottoville last week to improve to 14-1 overall. Minster, which is ranked No. 1 in Division IV, will travel to Versailles on Thursday for a showdown between the top two Midwest Athletic Conference teams.

Versailles (16-1) remains No. 1 in Div. III. The Tigers beat Fort Recovery and Celina last week.

New Bremen (13-3) received votes in D-IV but was not ranked in the top 10.

All Division I through IV polls are below, with win-loss record and total points (first-place votes in parentheses). A statewide panel of sports writers and broadcasters rate Ohio high school basketball teams each week.
