Theater season announced by VTA

DAYTON — Victoria Theatre Association has announced the 2018-2019 Premier Health Broadway Series, Projects Unlimited Star Attractions, the Morris Furniture Company Family Series, and National Geographic Live Series, sponsored by Subaru of America and Wagner Subaru.

The 2018-2019 season announcement event was in the Victoria Theatre to an audience of season ticket-holders, donors, sponsors and volunteers. The evening included a surprise appearance by Arica Jackson from the cast of “Waitress,” as well as a video “shout out” from Lexie Dorsett Sharp, a cast member in the national touring production of “School of Rock.”

“Our 2018-2019 Premier Health Broadway Series will bring a variety of shows that will be enjoyable for all ages,” said Ken Neufeld, VTA president and CEO,“from classic musicals “Les Miserables” and “The King and I,” to the latest from Broadway including “School of Rock,” the touching “Finding Neverland,” “On Your Feet,” featuring the infectious music of Gloria Estefan, and “Waitress,” the new musical with words and music written by Sara Bareilles. Our Projects Unlimited Star Attraction Series brings “The Wizard of Oz,” “Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Musical,” “Chicago” and the much-anticipated return of “The Book of Mormon.

“The 2018-2019 Morris Furniture Company Family Series include shows the whole family can enjoy, such as “The Ugly Duckling,” “The Phantom Tollbooth,” “The Magic School Bus” and many more magical titles,” continued Neufeld. “We appreciate how these shows bring the whole family together for live theatre at the historic Victoria Theatre.”

Renewal packets for all current Premier Health Broadway Series season ticket-holders have been mailed to them The deadline for current season ticket-holders to request changes to Broadway season ticket packages is March 13. The deadline to renew 2018-2019 Broadway season ticket packages is March 16. Season ticket sales for the Morris Furniture Company Family Series and National Geographic Live Series begin later in the spring.

Season tickets for the 2018-2019 Premier Health Broadway Series are on sale now. New season ticket-holders will be seated once current season ticket-holders’ renewals are fulfilled. For season tickets call 888-228-3630.
