WAPAKONETA — Have you ever wondered who the smartest people in Auglaize County are?

The Auglaize County Historical Society will soon settle this earth-shattering question at its seventh annual Trivia Night, which will be held at 7:30 p.m., Friday, April 6, at the Wapakoneta Eagles in downtown Wapakoneta.

Teams of up to six persons will compete to answer questions about sports, current events, pop culture, and even a little Auglaize County history. Speed is not a factor in scoring.

In addition to winning the coveted title of The Smartest People in Auglaize County, winners will take home more than $1,500 worth of prizes. Residents are invited to put together a team from their workplace, church, organization, family or friends and start studying.

All team members must reside and/or work and/or attend school in Auglaize County. The Historical Society notes that everyone who loves to play Trivial Pursuit or Jeopardy should enter this contest.

“The event will serve as a fundraiser and a way to call attention to the Historical Society,” said Historical Society administrator Rachel Barber. “Mostly, however, we just want to have a night of fun. We hope Auglaize County residents will take up the challenge and compete for the title of The Smartest People in Auglaize County.”

The Historical Society also extends sincere thanks to the host site for Trivia Night, the Wapakoneta Eagles. Food and drink will be available for purchase during the evening.
