FORT LORAMIE — Joe Ballas, 16, son of Dr. Mike and Karen Ballas, of Fort Loramie, earned the highest score in Shelby County and in the district on the recent American Legion Americanism and Government Test.

The Fort Loramie High School junior won a $100 scholarship.

The test was given by Legion posts in Sidney, Fort Loramie, Anna and Jackson Center to sophomore, junior and senior students.
