SIDNEY — Artists of the month in June at the Amos Library Art Gallery, 230 E. North St., are members of the Spirit and Hands Art Studio that is within S & H Products and is open to adults of all abilities.
The exhibit includes canvas artworks, with a combination of multi-media, watercolor and acrylic medium. They build their own canvases and use many materials to create their works of art.
Many artists come to work on art every day at the studio, while some use the studio occasionally. They love to be able to express themselves through art and enjoy the day at S & H Products. They accept donations of various items to create with, such as bowling balls, duvet covers, wood, silk flowers and unwanted furniture. The furniture is used to upcycle the old and make it new again. Some pieces need to be taken apart and made into several projects and other pieces just need a fresh coat of paint.
Spirit and Hands members accept special orders. Their store is located at S & H Products, 435 S. Stolle Ave. with hours Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The exhibit may be seen during regular library hours: Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free.
