Upper Valley Career Center Board of Education

PIQUA — The Upper Valley Career Center Board of Education will meet Monday, July 23, at 6 p.m. at the Willowbrook Garbry Hall.

Items on the agenda include a reports from various officials, adopting a calamity day alternative make-up plan, employment of personnel for the 2018-19 school year, accepting resignations and approving modifications to contracts.

Jackson Center Planning Commission

JACKSON CENTER — The Jackson Center Planning Commission will meet at 6 p.m., Monday, July 23.

The commission will consider making a recommendation to amend the zoning map from single family residential district to multi-family residential district in the 600 blocks of College and Pike streets.

Sidney City Council

SIDNEY — The Sidney City Council will meet on Monday, July 23, at 6:30 p.m in the Municipal Building’s Council Chambers.

Council will be introduced to James Vagnone, Sidney’s new code enforcement officer.

Council is expected to adopt two ordinances to levy a special assessment for street lighting improvements and to assess the cost of repairs of dangerous buildings.

Council will also be introduced to an ordinance to make supplement appropriations for 2018

It is expected for council to adopt two resolutions to accept a plat titled “right of way dedication plat” and to authorize the city manager to enter into an cooperative agreement with the Dayton-Montgomery County Port Authority and Cargill Inc. in connection with economic development opportunities in Sidney.

Jackson Center Village Council

JACKSON CENTER — The Jackson Center Village Council will meet in regular session at 7 p.m., Monday, July 23.

The council will give third reading to an ordinance concerning the dumping of grass clippings and yard waste and discuss the mass notification system TOWNE answering service and equipment and name for the new park.
