MCCARTYVILLE — The Sacred Heart of Jesus, in McCartyville, will host its 10th annual parish picnic Friday and Saturday, Aug. 10 and 11, on the parish grounds.

Funds raised will continue to support the financial needs for capital improvement funds of the future, as well as provide support for the spiritual needs of the youth and adult educational programs, continued growth, and Christian outreach.

Activities will include a wiffle ball tournament on Friday, starting at 6 p.m., a cake wheel from 7 to 9 p.m., along with entertainment provided by One Man Band with Steve Rosenbeck from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m.

There will also be kid’s games, movie night and a food stand.

Saturday will begin with Mass at 5 p.m. Activities on this day will include Bingo, Showdown, a cake wheel, kids games, face painting and movie night. A bean bag tournament will begin at 7 p.m.

Entertainment on Saturday will be provided by Will Inman, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., and the Ohio Mystery Band from 8 to 11:30 p.m. Raffle tickets will be available for a chance to win one of several prizes.
