RUSSIA — The Sidney Noon Kiwanis Club named Braden Hiatt their March 2021 Teen of the Month.

Hiatt is a senior at Russia Local High School. He achieves a 3.964 GPA and currently ranks sixth in his class out of 27 students.

He is the son of Matt and Denise Hiatt, of Houston.

His academic honors and awards include Top Business Award his junior year; Top Advanced Computer Award his sophomore year; Russia Student of the Month the past three years. Hiatt is also the recipient of the Academic Letter Award for grades 9, 10 and 11.

Hiatt’s extracurricular, community activities, honors and awards include Lead Russia; National Honor Society; Work for SMS and Western Ohio Technologies. Hiatt was also a senior homecoming king candidate.

After high school graduation, Hiatt plans to attend the University of Dayton to study Mechanical Engineering Technologies.

“Braden is a hardworking, selfless student, who will be successful in whatever adventure he chooses,” Russia High School Principal Marcus Bixler said.
