To the Editor:

I recently saw a quote: “Be the reason that someone feels welcomed, seen, heard, valued,loved, and supported.”

We have a candidate running for the Ohio House 84th District who lives that daily. When asking anyone who knows Sophia personally to describe her, the words commonly used are loyal, genuine, helpful, and caring. Sophia is a current educator and helps co-manage her family’s Mexican restaurant, which has been a staple in Mercer County for decades.

I have had the pleasure of seeing her in action; she is a true leader. She believes that leadership isn’t about one person; leadership is about opening doors and seeing the potential of what can be. Sophia is running for state representative, not for herself, but for all the people who haven’t seen themselves represented in Columbus for far too long. Sophia will be the representative we all need. I urge you to vote for Sophia Rodriguez for 84th District State Representative on Nov. 8. As our state representative, a vote for Sophia will bring all of US back to ColumbUS.
