Spirit Emergency Medical Services weekly log

Feb. 5-11

According to Brian K. Hathaway, Spirit EMS president/CEO, Spirit EMS responded to three emergency medical dispatches from the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office 911 dispatch center. That’s one less than the week prior.

All calls were in the Houston EMS district which includes Loramie and Washington townships including the village of Lockington and excluding the village of Russia.

Of the three calls, all patients were transported to the hospital. Russia Fire first responders assisted Spirit EMS on one call and made forced entry into a home to gain access to one patient. In a separate incident, two ambulances were needed at the scene of a call involving a traumatic injury. A secondary unit from Spirit EMS responded to the scene. Two patients were transported from that scene. Shelby County deputies were also on scene and assisted. In all, one patient was taken to Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy and two others to Wilson Health in Sidney.

Spirit EMS responded to 100% of its dispatches during this time.
