Commissioners acquire lots for radio communications project

SIDNEY – The Shelby County Commissioners started the process of acquiring two lots in Anna and Fort Loramie for the radio communications project at the end of February.

The commissioners entered into a lease agreement with Anna for a lot at 516 W. Main St. and purchased property at 110 Schlater Road in Fort Loramie for $35,000 for transmission towers for the radio communications project.

They also approved the annexation of 7.134 acres to the city of Sidney for the Sidney Ohio Congregation of Jehovah’s Witness, authorized advertising to seek bids for the Hardin-Wapakoneta Road Bridge Rehabilitation Project with bids opening on March 28 at 11 a.m. and approved final payment for the Transfer Station Weigh Scale Project of $134,426.

Weekly expenditures totaled $1,942,596.16 (Feb. 23) and $706,802.14 (Feb. 28). Transfers from the general fund to the engineer’s fund and capital improvement fund were made for $162,794.97 each.
