Happy Spring! We are excited to announce our open house at The People’s Garden, 209 Brooklyn Ave., in Sidney.

The open house is being held on Saturday, April 22, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at The People’s Garden.

We will have a master gardener on site as well as Shelby County Soil and Water Conservationist. There will be learning stations, tours, food and fun for all ages.

This is a busy time of year for the garden. We are planting seeds such as radish, spinach, peas and so much more as it gets warmer. Planting flowers for pollinators is important for the success of the garden too. We have beautiful flowers such as zinnias, butterfly bush, marigolds and many more!

Thank you to the volunteers, community members, master gardeners, churches and families who have participated in making this community garden possible. It really is a treasure for us to have this in Shelby County!
