JACKSON CENTER — The Jackson Center Memorial Community Library held their spring festival on March 28. The kids came running over after school to participate in many splendid games.

The first event was an Easter Egg hunt with many eggs found in minutes. To give the kids a fair chance, Cheryl South, events coordinator for the library, allowed the little children a 5-minute head start with their personalize bags they made in school that day. After that was a hopping ball race that turned into bouncing fun with no real winner. Just memories that will last a lifetime.

Once all the outdoor events concluded, the kids where more events were set up. There was a craft table where kids could make their own rainbow pinwheel to take home. A Pin-The-Tail on the bunny for the little ones, with an egg toss game for the other kids, where participants each got a piece of candy. A giant kerplunk game and cornhole for those interested. To keep the kids fed, a cupcake decorating station and a popcorn bar were set up with many toppings to choose from. The kids got really excited when the Easter Bunny himself showed up to play with them. In the end, there was a basket raffle.

For more Easter fun, the library will be hosting an Around Town Family Easter Scavenger Hunt starting on Monday, April 3, and will go on until Saturday, April 8. Stop into the Jackson Center library to pick up a game sheet and rules. Once completed, return it to the library to enter a drawing for a family gift basket.
