To the editor:
Six women and children were killed by a 28-year-old woman at a Christian school in Nashville this week. The perpetrator, who claimed she was a man, needed help she never got. People who claim the opposite sex or some other “made-up” gender need to hear the truth, not affirmations. But our society is increasingly opposed to telling people the truth. Progressive gender-warriors even shifted media attention from the horrific murders to the greater sin of police using the wrong pronouns to describe the murderer.
Genesis 1:27 says that “God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them”. Progressives purposely confuse this by saying there are two “sexes” but many “genders”. That’s simply a “progressive” redefinition tactic to perpetuate their lies. The 1828 Webster dictionary defined gender as “A sex, male or female” and that definition stood for millennia before that. This progressive gender ideology is simply a continuation of the sexual revolution’s blatant rebellion against God. That’s the “progress” the “progressive” movement seeks.
And progressivism isn’t new. Psalm 2:3 records the attitude of rebellious humans toward the Holy Trinity by saying “Let us break their chains and throw off their shackles”. Sinful humanity has always wanted to “progress” away from God. That’s why “gender” has been redefined to include an infinite number of ways of opposing God’s perfect “male and female” design. Why do I say infinite? I recently registered for a government conference and was given an infinite number of gender options to choose from: “male, female, gender variant, transgender, or other-(please specify)”. The lie has “progressed” to the point that we can each make up our own unique gender. A blatant denial of reality that is obvious to all!
But our state government has decided to promulgate those lies instead of standing for truth. It’s much easier to assimilate than to speak truth and suffer the wrath of progressives. So, instead of getting confused people the help they need, our government now encourages them to embrace harmful lies that put them outside of God’s revealed will for their lives. The worst place in the world for any person to be!
I pray that you will join me in boldly speaking the truth in love (Ephesians 4:11-16) to people in need, regardless of the personal attacks you will endure for it!
