-8:43 a.m.: theft. Deputies responded to a theft in the 17000 block of Sidney Plattsville Road.
-5:06 a.m.: crash. Deputies, Van Buren Fire and New Bremen EMS responded to a crash with injuries in the area of state Route 274 and Schmitmeyer Baker Road.
-4:33 a.m.: property damage. Deputies responded to property damage in the 3000 block of Leatherwood Creek Road.

-4:42 p.m.: vandalism. Jackson Center Police responded to vandalism in the 300 block of Clay Street.
-3:40 p.m.: suspicious vehicle. Botkins Police responded to a suspicious vehicle in the area of Botkins Road and Kentner Road.

-3:20 p.m.: assault. Botkins Police and Jackson Center Police responded to an assault in the 200 block of South Linden Street in Jackson Center.
Crashes
No one was cited after deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash on May 3 at 9:07 a.m.
Braxton Thomas Brewer, 16, of Sidney, was traveling eastbound on Russell Road when he said he struck a rock, causing his vehicle to shift to the right and strike a mailbox. Then he overcorrected, crossing the roadway and ending up in a ditch off the left side of the roadway. Brewer’s vehicle was towed by Mantor’s Towing.
• Donnie W. Martin, 44, of Sidney, was cited with failure to control after deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash on April 30 at 12:46 a.m.
Martin was traveling eastbound on Russia Versailles Road when he approached a curve at the intersection of Rangeline Road. He continued straight, striking a guardrail. Martin’s vehicle was towed by Elmer’s Towing.
• Conner L. Evans, 18, of Romeo, Michigan, was cited with operation without reasonable control after the State Highway Patrol responded to a one-vehicle crash on April 29 at 5:46 a.m.
Evans was traveling northbound on Interstate 75 when he drove off the right side of the roadway and struck a guardrail. The vehicle was towed by Mantor’s Towing and he was evaluated by Botkins EMS for suspected minor injuries.
