Crashes

No one was cited after deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash on May 8 at 10:15 p.m.

Colby Lee Monnin, 18, of Sidney, was traveling westbound on Fessler Buxton Road when he failed to navigate a curve in the road, causing him to spin and come to rest in trees off the left side of the road. The vehicle was towed by Meyer’s Towing.

• No one was cited after deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash on May 2 at 5:06 a.m.

Carl David Stroh, 72, of New Knoxville, was driving a semi-truck traveling southbound on state Route 29 when he went through the intersection of state Route 274 and drove off the roadway into a ditch, causing the vehicle to overturn. The vehicle was towed by Elmer’s Towing and Stroh was taken by New Bremen EMS to Wilson Health with suspected minor injuries.

• William B. Franciscy, 88, of Temperance, Michigan, was cited with operation without reasonable control after the State Highway Patrol responded to a one-vehicle crash on May 1 at 12:28 p.m.

Franciscy was traveling southbound on Interstate 75 when he drove off the left side of the roadway and struck the median cable barrier. Then he came back onto the roadway and drove off the right side into a ditch. The vehicle was towed by Elmer’s Towing.
