JACKSON CENTER — The KC Family Life Center is the home to the Fish Pond Food Pantry. The Fish Pond Food Pantry provides food, hygiene products, cleaning supplies, and baby supplies to those in need.

All you need is a valid ID/driver’s license and documentation that you live in:

• Jackson Center

• Maplewood

• Montra

• Botkins

Once registered at the front desk, an employee will take the participant around with the appropriate family size card, explaining how much each family should get. People don’t have to provide proof of income or how many people they have in their household as they work on an honor system. A person can only visit once every 30 days. They are open every second and fourth Wednesday from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. A person may walk in, or make an appointment at one of the churches that sponsors them. The churches are:

• JC Methodist Church

• Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church

• Maplewood Methodist

• St. Jacobs Lutheran Church

• Emmanuel Lutheran Church

• Botkins Methodist Church

• Immaculate Conception Church and Rhine Church (members of the Petersburg Perish)

If you wish to donate anything to them, reach out to one of the sponsored churches to do that.

They also provide free clothes at the Knit Worthy Clothing Closet located inside the Fish Pond. It is open to the public as well during regular hours and by appointment, similar to the Fish Pond. If you wish to stop by, they are located at 310 Davis St. in Jackson Center.
