SIDNEY — Parker Jordan, 33, son of Mark Jordan and Kim Jordan, of Sidney, was promoted a year early, ahead of his peers, to the rank of Major in the United States Army last summer and is currently attending the Army’s Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.

In addition to his studies at the staff college, he completed his master’s degree in business administration from Louisiana State University. Prior to his assignment at Fort Leavenworth, Parker served as a team leader in a security force assistance brigade, stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, with operational employment in Africa and numerous training events with multinational partners.

Next year Parker will attend the National Intelligence University in Washington, D.C. as he continues his service to the nation as a strategic intelligence officer. Parker and his wife, Diane, and children, Natilie and Benjamin, are currently residing near Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.
