The next public meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at 6 p.m. at Calvary United Baptist Church located at 9480 County Road 25A, Sidney. A significant agenda item for this meeting will be to appoint Treasurer-elect Todd Lotz to fill the unexpired term of recently retired Treasurer John Coffield. Lotz has been employed at the treasurer’s office for several months, preparing for this upcoming transition.

Commissioner Tony Bornhorst also recently informed the party that due to some surprise circumstances beyond his control, he plans to retire at the end of June, leaving six months on his unexpired term. Commissioner-elect Mack Knupp is poised to step into that vacancy, so that will be an agenda item for the July meeting.

The 2024 Lincoln Day Dinner is scheduled for May 9 at the Shelby Oaks Golf Club. US Rep. Warren Davidson from Ohio’s 8th District, and a friend and colleague ofJim Jordan, will be the keynote speaker. Jack Windsor, editor in chief of the Ohio Press Network and a conservative commentator, will emcee the event. Contact any Central Committee member for more details.
