On March 18, Fairlawn held its annual spelling bee. Twenty-eight students in grades three through eight competed after making it out of their grade level bees. After 11 rounds, seventh-grader Alli Orsborne, left, daughter of Neil and Alysha Orsborne, won by spelling the word goblins. Eighth-grader Lilian Berryman, center, daughter of Ben and Sulachena Berryman, was the first runner up and sixth-grader, right, Sarah Patten, daughter of Don and Megan Patten, was the second runner up.
