SIDNEY — The Shelby County Commissioners have awarded the 2017 roadside mowing contract to Quick Mow Inc.
The action came following a vote in a recent regular session of the board of commissioners. The contract is in the amount of $77,291.52.
In other action, the commissioners:
• Adopted a resolution urging state legislators to protect counties and transit authorities against the loss of Medicaid Managed Care Organization sales tax revenue as part of the biennial budget process.
• Awarded a contract in the amount of $379,088 for the Fort Loramie-Swanders Road bridge-replacement project to Brumbaugh Construction Inc.
• Opened four proposals for qualified architects for design build services for the Shelby County Animal Shelter project and took the proposals under advisement.
• Took under advisement five bids for site development for the Fair Haven Shelby County Home project.
• Opened nine bids for the CDBG Formula Allocation and Neighborhood Revitalization Grant project for infrastructure improvements in the village of Jackson Center and took the bids under advisement.
• Convened a meeting of elected officials and department heads to discuss the proposed state biennial budget.
• Convened the first public hearing about the 2017 Community Development Block Grant/Community Development Allocation Program.
• Presented a proclamation recognizing the 50th anniversary of the Shelby county Regional Planning Commission to Executive Director Dianna Reisinger.
• Authorized the seeking of bids for the Fort Loramie-Swanders Road force main replacement project and for the 2017 resurfacing program. Bids for both programs will be opened at 11 a.m, April 13.
