Photo: Mojitos Mexican Cuisine closes
A view of Mojitos Mexican Cuisine on Friday evening. The restaurant, which is located on Wapakoneta Avenue in northern Sidney, announced on Facebook on Friday afternoon it has permanently closed. It opened in 2019. It was the second Sidney restaurant to announce Friday it has closed; Amelio’s Pizzeria announced earlier in the day it has closed.
Photo: Auto-Vue Drive-In is closing, looking for new location
The Auto-Vue Drive-In is looking for a new home, the business announced on Facebook on Sunday. The drive-in, which is located on the corner of Russell Road and Fourth Avenue, said the property owner has sold the land. Owner Teresa Covington said she and her family will finish the season and hope to relocate the business to another location.
Photo: Amelio’s closes its doors
Amelio’s Pizzeria has closed its doors, the business announced in a Facebook post on Friday. The business opened in 2021 and had served pizza and Italian food since. Owner Toni Thorne wrote the announcement and thanked those who had supported the restaurant. She wrote in the post that another couple will likely be “opening something (at the location) in the (next) few months. I wish them well.”

Golf Classic nets over $48,000 for Wilson Foundation
Piqua County Club in Piqua was the site for the 30th annual Wilson Health Foundation Golf Classic on Sept. 20. Net proceeds for the event were over $48,000 and are used to build the Foundation’s general endowment fund. This fund provides perpetual support to the hospital and healthcare system.
