THURSDAY

-12:14 to 1:50 p.m.: lines down. Three calls were received about lines that were down throughout the county.

-9:06 a.m. to 1:22 p.m.: tree down. Eight trees were reported down.

-12:42 a.m.: assist other unit. Another unit was assisted in the 1000 block of St. Marys Avenue.

THURSDAY

-10:59 p.m.: scam. A scam was reported in the 300 block of Onyx Drive in Anna.

-9:41 a.m.: theft. A theft was reported at the Anna High School in Anna.

Crashes

A one-vehicle crash on Interstate 75 sent two people to the hospital on Thursday at 8:49 a.m.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Mark Filsinger, 68, of Piqua, was traveling southbound on I-75 near mile marker 88 when his van went off the road to the right in the rainy weather conditions. He then over corrected, causing him to lose control of his vehicle and overturn his vehicle into the embankment on the right side of the roadway.

Sidney Fire transported Filsinger and his passenger to Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy. Filsinger was then transported on to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. His passenger is believed to not have suffered serious injuries.

Filsinger will be cited with failure to control.

• No one was cited after a two-vehicle crash on Monday at 4:54 p.m.

Olivia Mae Bales, 16, of Sidney, was stopped facing the east on Schenk Road at Fair Road, then proceeded into the intersection and was struck by the northeast vehicle, driven by Robin L. Evans, 47, of Sidney on Fair Road, that had the right of way.

• Shaylaa Soy-Mone-Lacrisha Banks, 24, of Saginaw, Michigan, was cited with failure to yield making left turn after a two-vehicle crash on Friday at 3:15 p.m.

Banks was traveling eastbound on state Route 119 and when attempting to make a left turn onto the Interstate 75 entrance ramp turned into the path of and was hit by the westbound vehicle on state Route 119 that was driven by Samantha Jane Gratz, 19, of Anna. Banks’ vehicle came to a stop in the northwest corner of the intersection. Gratz’s vehicle came to a stop in the westbound lane, facing the east.

Banks was transported by Anna Rescue to Wilson Health. Her red, 2015 Hyundai Accent was towed from the scene by Meyer’s Towing.

The tan 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser that Gratz was driving was towed away by Mayse Towing.

Fire, rescue

THURSDAY

-1:09 p.m.: pole fire. Firefighters responded to a pole fire in the 18800 block of Meranda Road.

-1:01 to 6 a.m.: medical. Medics responded to three calls.
